2018 was quite the year: Sassy was horribly sick, Zeus had surgery, and Rocky was his usual self...moved twice...worked 4 different jobs before landing at the Capitol in a job I love...met so many wonderful new friends...settled in a city I really adore...found a few adventures among the changes...and, most importantly, was reminded I have the best family: four- and two-legged! 2019 puts me another year closer to crazy-cat-lady status but, who am I kidding, I've been here for quite some time 😻😻. Cheers!

The joys of long hikes under clear blue skies in mid-December cannot be overstated.

My hiking buddy went in for surgery today to remove a few benign masses, so we played fetch for 2 hours last night and went on a hike this morning to make up for the coming days when the old boy is going to have to act like an old boy and take it easy.

Enjoying a moody morning on top of Mt. Ascension. I love having this wild escape right outside my door!

It's 10/18 again, and that means someone has marked another year of adventure! Looking forward to the next sister bonding sesh with @jrhenneman , the one who always leads and points out cool stuff, like big mountains. Happy birthday 🎉🎁🎉👍

We love our nice fall afternoons.
